Find Surgeon tor remove prostatic rectal tumor. PLEASE HELP

Treatment
Hi, Thank you for having me as a member. My husband has prostate cancer and he had a radical prostectomy, hormone treatment with radiation. He now has localized prostate cancer in the rectal area. He is now being treated chemo; the next step which the doctor said which if he was in our shoes what we should be hoping that they will be able to do surgery after looking at the pet scan and MRI. It doesn't seem like too many doctors do this major surgery. We have Dr. Bochner at Memorial Sloan Kettering who has done 20 of these in the past 10 years with a 50% success rate. We just made an appointment with Dr. James M. McKiernan, M.D. from Columbia, recommended highly from another group. How do I find out if anyone else in this group is in a similar situation and if so what direction they have gone in and where? Thank you in advance for your direction. With best wishes for health and happiness, Rita
